OUR STORY

We are sisters Rose and Alice. We began The Native Florist in 2018, growing our own flowers in the Mendips and providing floral design for weddings and events across Somerset, Bristol, the Cotswolds, Oxfordshire and surrounding areas.

Rose is a professional gardener and plant obsessive while Alice has over eight years experience in the wedding industry as a hair and make up artist.

We are passionate about British flowers and sustainable, environmentally friendly ethics and aim to run a plastic free business with no dig and organic growing methods at our heart.

We are inspired by nature, the unseen beauty in plants, unusual flower combinations and creating wilder and whimsical arrangements.

Weddings

As of April 2020 we will be providing two different services for wedding flowers.

Our new ‘Ready to Wear’ range will be available to order online and will cover all your wedding needs in three different colour schemes. This range promises to provide hassle free, well priced bouquets, buttonholes and the rest, while still bringing the fun and style. The flowers will change seasonally but the composition will remain.

Alternatively, we offer bespoke wedding packages. We love to get to know our couples, understand what their day means to them and explore their inspiration. We then put together a unique design, complete with sketches to help you visualise your arrangements. We will visit your venue accordingly and liaise with the organisers to ensure everything runs smoothly for you on the day.

Commercial and Events

We provide flowers for restaurants, shops, salons and commercial or private events from installations to table arrangements. Get in touch via our contact page.

Workshops

We run flower crown, DIY bouquet and wreath making workshops by appointment. We come to you with all the equipment and flowers for you to create something beautiful. Get in touch for more information.

If you run a floral design or floristry business in the Somerset/Bristol area and are looking for British grown, fresh and dried flowers please get in touch. Our 2020 Stock List will be available from December.
